Ladies and Gentlemen!
Peter Walter VI extends an invitation to you to attend The Walter Robotics Expo July 18th 2013, in San Diego, California!
His Great Great Grandfather always wanted to nurture creative and scientific minds, so they could embrace the nature of invention and share their knowledge with the world. WRX 2013 hopes to keep that spirit alive by showcasing a plethora of inventions, wonders, and whimsy from all over the globe! Every mad scientist, engineer, and time traveler this side of the blue matter rift will be on hand to exhibit their creations, including Peter himself and the Walter Steam Man Band.
Special guest exhibitors will be providing their own craft demonstrations and include Professor Elemental, The League of Steam, The League of Supremely Evil Revolutionaries (L.O.S.E.R), and Dino Staats.
Doors open at 3 PM with food for hungry scientists, and an assortment of vendors to peruse. This is also your chance to meet Steam Powered Giraffe in person with paid photo ops and free autograph sessions through the day.
At night the headline concert featuring Professor Elemental and Steam Powered Giraffe rocks San Diego, followed by the last autograph session for the evening.
Dress in your finest and bring your spanner for a scientific exposition the likes you’ve never seen!

Bigger version here! :D

We have 9 brand new photo prints for sale from last weekend’s Wild West Fest! 1 group, 3 The Spine, 2 Rabbit, 2 Hatchworth, and 1 Steve. They’re perfect for bringing to a show to get signed or hanging on your wall just as they are.
If you’re holding out for us to come to your local show, be sure to check the calendar on our website to see if that show is listed. Also note that not all prints will be available at every show.
As always, feel free to contact me or James with any questions!
Literally like one push of the button and these will be linked on the website. Still workin’ on it!
After an excruciatingly glitchy livestream, I think it’s done.
For the “Let’s Draw SPG” thing.
Thanks to those who stayed through basically the whole thing. Wow. Seriously, you guys are just fantastic. That was long.
My Internet started flipping its crap toward the end, and the stream was cut-off. Sorry, once again! D:

I snapped this photo a month ago during a company photo shoot!

We’ve got a brand new live video for you all from our recent performance at The La Jolla Playhouse in San Diego California.
It’s our encore song, Fire Fire.
Enjoy!
P.S.- We’re working on getting a Hatchworth song up. Unfortunately we’ve had some live audio recording issues for the last few shows that destroyed some files, so the pickings for songs have been slim.

i’m slightly obsessed with the whole concept of The Spine wanting to be human

Description from my DA page:
“This leather mask is part of a series that I made as gifts for the members of the band ‘Steam Powered Giraffe’. The designs are inspired by the makeup of each performer, as well as original artwork by Bunny Bennett.
After choosing a final design from a series of sketches, I created a mock-up of the mask out of craft foam (in order to check size/fit) and then hand carved, tooled, and formed the final piece from leather. It’s painted with professional artist acrylics, and sealed to protect the work.
This past weekend I actually had the opportunity to present the masks in person to the band members at the Spring in Sepia concert! They were really well received, which is always exciting to hear, especially from artist to artist. It truly makes me happy to be able to share a little bit of what I love to create as a small thank you for all the amazing work they share with us. Eventually I will be making everyone in the band a mask of their own, but I was only able to finish these first three masks in time for the concert. More to come!”
Images/mask - 4/13/2013 C.A.Rasmussen[Just a heads up, I’m going out of town tomorrow so the other two masks will have to wait to be photographed until this weekend :s At least I have one down!]
Holy shit. I love this. I want this. Or at least… need to hire this person to make me a different but just as cool mask.
